Established in 1994, the ENVIRO-PHARM Ltd is a family enterprise. The owner group consists of two environmental engineers, one physical professor/researcher, one chemical technologist and one mechanical engineering.

ENVIRO-PHARM – active in environmental protection – develops green technologies and new technologies for water and air cleaning. They have more than 30 patents and more than 10 know-how. They are also specialist in drying processes and technologies (from machine design to supervision of its manufacturing and installation). In particular, one of their processes can dry sludge up to 95-99% dry material content in a new spiral system without axle (used for transportation of powder-like materials). In addition to their advance knowledge in drying technology, ENVIRO-PHARM will provide their experience in water/wastewater treatment work and syngas production and cleaning.

Role in project

In PYROCHAR, ENVIRO-PHARM will be responsible for:

• Supporting the RTD performers in the different research activities concerning the optimization of the drying process with municipal sewage sludge as feedstock
• Assisting INSP and MESSAG in heat circulation simulation and mechanical design to improve the drying processes
• Validation of the technology used and the final system
